What to Expect
For after-hours emergency dental care, you should call our office and leave a message with our answering service. Dr. Bistritz is then called and your number and information will be given to him to contact you. Most emergencies can be taken care of with a prescription called into a pharmacy, and you can then be scheduled to visit the office first thing in the morning. If you have a severe emergency of bleeding, intense pain, and/or serious infection, our office will typically refer the patient immediately to an ER if it is after hours.
Dr. Bistritz will usually schedule a follow-up appointment to check on your progress or finish the needed procedures. He will also give you specific care instructions that should be followed exactly for maximum relief. You should continue to schedule annual dental exams and bi-annual dental cleanings to catch and prevent any future problems that may require emergency care.
Dental emergencies should not be ignored over money concerns. Our office will work with your insurance to get your maximum coverage. Our office accepts a variety of payment methods and offers financing options to make care and relief affordable.
